Strengthen networks. Promote innovation. Just do it.

The approach to support for electric mobility which e-mobil BW has adopted is open to all kinds of technology and is synergy-oriented. We want to realize a support system for innovation that is comprehensive, interdepartmental, and all from one source, to enthusiastically advance this important key technology in all its facets.

Strategy Dialogue Automotive Industry BW

The automotive industry, with sales exceeding 400 bn euros, is without a shade of doubt one of the systemically relevant industries. Baden-Württemberg, which is home to more than 1,000 suppliers, is one of the biggest automotive clusters in Germany. Mega trends like electrification, digital transformation, autonomous driving and sharing models present huge challenges for the whole industry which need to be confronted. Thus, the State Government started an initiative in the summer of 2017, the Strategy Dialogue Automotive Industry, in which all relevant stakeholders cooperate to arrive jointly at potential solutions.

Cluster electric mobility south-west

With more than 85 stakeholders from business, science and public authorities, the cluster is one of the largest regional associations in the field of electric mobility. Together the partners are advancing the industrialisation of electric mobility and creating innovative mobility solutions for tomorrow.

LivingLab Bwe mobil

In the LivingLab BWe mobil we show that electric mobility can already be experienced today. Already available technology is studied in situations of daily use, to find out what is necessary to develop it further, what users need, and to design future business models.

Cluster fuel cell BW

The cluster Fuel Cell BW concentrates and structures the diverse activities and expertise in the field of hydrogen and fuel cell technology in Baden-Wuerttemberg. This work strengthens collaboration between the main stakeholders in business, science, associations and politics.

Collaboration with municipalities

Car sharing services with electric vehicles, electrified delivery and commercial vehicles, and mobility maps for public transportation: all of these are examples in which electric mobility is visible already today in cities and municipalities. More than anything, this demonstrates the important role the regional level plays in achieving the technological transition to electric mobility.

Education and qualification

Mobility of the future is being shaped by people from a wide variety of professions. The need for university graduates with various specialisations is just as great as the need for commercial and trade specialists with an interdisciplinary training background.

Funding information

The State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the Federal Government, and the European Union offer a wide variety of funding programmes for innovative project ideas. Here you will find an overview of what is offered and contacts for information on the topic of funding.
