The Automotive Suppliers’ Day Baden-Württemberg was jointly organised by the State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing Baden-Württemberg and e-mobil BW GmbH.
This one-day event was dedicated to the transformation process of the automotive industry and was the venue for discussing and analysing the opportunities and challenges the entire sector is facing in the wake of new technologies. The effects of digitalisation, the pressure to develop innovative products and new business models clearly show: We are only at the beginning of the transformation process of the automotive industry. The Automotive Suppliers’ Day Baden-Württemberg 2019 took place on November 22, 2019 in Esslingen, near Stuttgart.
This year’s panel discussion focused on new business models for small and medium-sized enterprises. ZF Friedrichshafen, Valmet Automotive and the CHIRON Group presented examples of sustainable strategies, demonstrating how technological developments can be integrated into existing divisions.
In order to face the upcoming challenges and opportunities of the automotive industry, cooperation and collaboration among innovative suppliers from Baden-Württemberg and international partners become indispensable. The Automotive Suppliers’ Day BW offered a platform for networking and exchange. At the 2019 Automotive Suppliers’ Day, members of the Cluster Electric Mobility South-West and of the Cluster Fuel Cell BW as well as international partners from the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Finland showcased their approaches in the field of new mobility in the framework of a poster exhibition.
