Electric mobility
To ensure Baden-Württemberg's international competitiveness in the mobility sector, the state agency e-mobil BW is focusing on close cooperation with French partners. At the end of November, a delegation from France initiated by Business France gained comprehensive insights into the automotive industry and research institutes in Baden-Württemberg. To conclude the visit, e-mobil BW and Business France invited partners from the Cluster Electric Mobility South-West to a matchmaking event.
A technologically and economically strong Europe is crucial for the competitiveness of companies in the south-west of Germany. Against this backdrop, the state agency e-mobil BW maintains close ties with relevant players in France.
The partnership with the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is a key pillar of this effort. Alongside Baden-Württemberg, it is driving electric and fuel-cell mobility via a joint working group within the Four Motors for Europe network.
In addition, e-mobil BW is in constant contact with the Lyon-based mobility cluster CARA. It also works closely with other French clusters such as Next Move in the Greater Paris area and Normandy, and Pôle Véhicule du Futur in the Grand Est region.
The current special edition of the magazine 'Acteurs du franco-allemand' on Baden-Württemberg highlights the wide range of economic cooperation between France and the German south-west, with a focus on key industries and major players such as e-mobil BW. The publication helps further strengthen and raise the profile of the ecosystem surrounding electrification, data, and the development of a hydrogen economy in France, including the networks coordinated by e-mobil BW.
This cooperation was exemplified by a delegation visit from France to Baden-Württemberg at the end of November, involving eleven companies from the battery technology sector and a programme of visits to automotive manufacturers and suppliers in the region.
On the third day of the trip, e-mobil BW and Business France invited participants to a matchmaking event at the Institut Français. French and Baden-Württemberg companies and research institutions in the field of battery technology were given the opportunity to network with partners from the Cluster Electric Mobility South-West.
The matchmaking format focused on:
Approximately 15 companies and research institutions from the Cluster Electric Mobility South-West participated in an initial in-depth exchange, which established concrete points of contact and laid the foundation for future cooperation.
